Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are going dead?
Why do banks charge a fee on 'insufficient funds' when they know there is not enough money?
Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?
Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?
Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?
Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?
Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?
Whose idea was it to put an 'S' in the word 'lisp'?
If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?
Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?
Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?
Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?
Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?
Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?
How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?
Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?
In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?
How come you never hear father-in-law jokes? *

Sushi and Spam
My theory is the same for sushi and spam. If you say you don't like it, you probably never had it! (or, you haven't had it done right- come talk to me)
My dad tried sushi for the first time the other night, and loved it. We made it :) And, in honor of all the Guam stuff, he fried up some "spam fingers". Talk about some appetizers! (We don't even know what they eat on Guam, spam was a guess)

in honor of . . .
. . .me moving to Guam...my Dad is making fried SPAM tonight. Yum! If you ever had Spam cooked a good way, you'd like it too!
Anyway, I am going to Guam! August 2009. I can't wait. And the best part is--- my family is so supportive! My dad and sis are helping me store stuff while I'm gone, and my mom is behind me 100%. Now I just have to see what Sandals thinks, because I'd love to be their missionary. I believe I will be there for 2 years, at least. I CAN'T WAIT!

ugh!
So, this afternoon- I was driving slowly through the cal state parking lot when this lady pulls out and hits me- the side of my car! I got out and asked if she was ok, and she was like.."yeah, why? I didn't hit you!"
RIGHT?
So, I showed her the dent she created in the side of my car, and the blue paint on her white brand new Mercedes. I was like, "actually, you did- you didn't feel it? I did- look..." and she was flustered- but I tried to be nice about it. The only thing is, I'm most likely getting stuck with this, seeing as its a parking lot.
Could she have at least looked? Her reverse lights weren't on when I was slowly passing her...and I understand how a car could be overlooked, but what if I was a pedestrian? Ugh, I'm kinda frustrated now that I think about it. She totally believes that she didn't hit me.

windy days
Today is a windy day- so was yesterday. Maybe tomorrow will be windy, and I will get to stay home from class an extra day. That means, an extra day on focusing on myself, my work out, my studies, and my personal time (maybe even napping time).
I am at a coffee shop resisting a pumpkin muffin. The tea is too hot to drink, and I have a meeting soon. The freeway is on fire near my school. Tree branches are blown everywhere. My cat is cold and staying under the blankets at home. I know its kind of bad, but... I am praying for another windy day....

Guam
I need prayer. I have a meeting with Dave Owen in a few weeks to discuss Guam stuff, like, if I am the right person to go- where I'll be working- what Island I'll be on (it won't be Guam, I'm pretty sure), and what all needs to happen with this.
I also need to decide what I want to do financially- I need to get another job and if I'm lucky, keep my one bedroom apartment, or, move in with friends to save $$. UGh. Anyone have a night job for me, or weekend job, or babysitting, or spare room, let me know- if not, just pray please!
