Saturday Night

What do you get when you have a sick, tired, 20yr old girl on a Saturday night? Probably a sick, tired, 20yr old girl who is working really hard, and going out with friends after.

What do you get when you have a sick, tired, 24yr old girl- alone on a Saturday night? A sick, tired, 24yr old girl who is cleaning, cooking, organizing, emailing, letter writing, cat-petting, and probably very lonely and nostalgic.

That is me. I am home- alone- Saturday night- drinking tea and eating white rice with my own teriyaki glazed filet mignon that I made myself. This, of course, was after an afternoon of floor sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picture organizing, mom- missing, AND life planning. I have even found a few gems going through some of these pictures-

My 22nd Birthday at Pechanga (with some of my best friends in the whole wide world)

My 2006 trip to Hawaii with my mom and sis- my sis has lost so much weight since then! It was a great trip- I am so BLESSED

because its freakin' good for you!

Just do it

9/11

In honor of Sept 11, we did 108 sun salutations in yoga tonight. Check my blog here for more on it-

God Bless everyone whose lives were changed seven years ago. We were so close to it in CT, and I won't forget what that day was like for my town- even though its still hard to grasp.

Beautiful weekends

I start my three day weekend schedule this week. This means a LOT of things- classes, family time, yoga training, disaster relief training- finally- more trips up to see my Dad- and a really good schedule. I am blessed with an amazing job, and I start my teaching tomorrow. Eek! Here's some photo's of what I did this weekend-

Went to visit Dani and we had dinner with Dad and Mary in San Diego at the Marriott Mission Bay. The next morning, I took advantage of my Dad's hotel amenities after he left for the airport- I wandered around downtown, took pics, and made my way over to Extraordinary Desserts for lunch.

We finished our night off with massages and sangria/margaritas in PB. Church was great today- and, like I said- I start work tomorrow- ahh!

enjoy :)

letting things run their course

And, getting what I deserve-

I recently noticed that I don't let my tea pot boil and whistle before I shut it off. Sure, I get a scalding hot cup of water by just knowing when it is ready, but then I don't let the tea pot fulfill its purpose. What if it needs to whistle, and I am not letting it?

My new Fall year's resolutions will be including not selling myself or others short. I will let things run their course. Also, I am going to make a better effort at quality time with people I love. Even if this means calling them instead of texting, I will do it. I love new beginnings.
